Saint Eunan’s under 15’s advanced to the All-Ireland semi-final joining their under 17 team in winning Ulster.

A lively start saw the Letterkenny team take control of the possession with several great plays one of which creating the first goal.

Joel Gorman, younger brother of Dale Gorman; the Stevange and Northern Ireland midfielder delivered a brilliant pass to the far side of the box.

The ball then was put back across the 6-yard box unable to find a player in the red and black of Eunan’s but this was irrelevant as failure to clear saw the opposition head into their own net.

The opposition were a team that had previously beat the Ollie Horgan and Monica Gribben managed side 6-1 in a league encounter but this didn’t phase the lads in black and red hoping to advance and just before the half doubled their lead.

A low cross in from the edge of the box was tapped home at the near post by Brandon Ndlovu, with referee Tony McNamee calling an end to the first half.

The Buncrana schoolboys weren’t out of it completely and scored instantly to get the second half well underway, A better side almost immediately but with chances for both teams and a goalmouth scramble it looked like it would be Eunan’s day.

The Letterkenny students had more to give and when a free kick was delivered into the box another defensive error was pounced on by Nathan Plumb giving them a firm grasp on the tie.

A very competitive tie that now with the Ulster champions facing St.Joseph’s from Galway that were brushed aside by the Paul Browne and Mr.Lee side in the Under 17 competition.
