ST EUNAN’S COLLEGE LETTERKENNY will face Raphoe’s Deele College in the Bank of Ireland FAI Schools Tom Ticher Ulster Junior (U-17) final following a fine semi-final win today.

St Eunan’s College, Letterkenny 4-1 Loreto Community School, Milford

The side managed by Paul Browne and David O’Herlihy were 4-1 winners against Loreto Community School, Milford at Flagpole Park in Rathmullan, with Zach Gorman scoring twice and Shane Blaney and Jerome Angel Atuahene also on the mark.

It was the 90th minute before Milford got their scant consolation when Connor Gormley netted.

Both teams had early chances, with Jordan Ryan and Blaney going close for the Letterkenny side, while at the other end Eoghan Kelly had to clear off his own line after Eoin O’Boyle failed to gather a corner from Cameron Gormley.

With a few meaty challenges going in, referee Vincent McLoughlin was kept busy.

St Eunan’s hit the front on 36 minutes when Blaney stood over a free-kick 30 yards from goal. His intention was to put the ball into the danger area, which he managed, and although Jordan Ryan stretched he didn’t get a touch and it ended up in Dane Dunworth’s net.

That settled the contest and Gorman slammed home a second St Eunan’s goal in a crowded penalty area when he was teed up by Ryan.

It was 2-0 to St Eunan’s at half-time.

Like the first half, the second took a while to find its shape. St Eunan’s defended well against a Loreto team who had come from three down in their quarter-final to overcome Scoil Mhuire Buncrana 4-3.

However, Gorman made it 3-0 for St Eunan’s with a close range finish after Conor O’Donnell’s cross-cum-shot.

And it was four three minutes from time when right-back Atuahene joined the attack and slid home following a one-two with Ryan O’Donnell.

Loreto got a goal in the last minute when Connor Gormley shot home from the edge of the penalty area after Patrick McColgan had headed clear a cross from Shane McNamee.
