written by Alan Foley August 3, 2015

Sadness prevailed last weekend as we said goodbye to club stalwart Mr. Tom Ferrie.

A true clubman, Tom served in many roles within the club including as Registrar and Minor Board Secretary.  Sincerest sympathies are extended to Tom’s wife Maureen and the Ferrie family from all at C.L.G. Naomh Adhamhnáin.
The Hurling / Camogie Camp Cúl Camp takes place next week, Mon. August 10th – Fri. Aug. 14th

.
We would ask people to kindly book in advance to ensure we have the correct coaches to children ratios.

Further details on the Club Facebook page and online booking available on the links below:

Well done to Maxi, Sean, Conor and particularly Eamonn Doherty and the Donegal team on their 3-12 to 0-11 qualifier win over Galway at the weekend.
Eamonn made his first Championship start for Donegal, in Croke Park and turned in a fine performance on a huge occasion.  A proud day for the Club.  Best of luck to Donegal who now face Mayo in the All Ireland Quarter Finals this Saturday at 6pm.
The Football Cúl camp was a huge success last week with great numbers turning out despite the weather conditions.  Thanks to everyone who participated and particularly to the coaches, organisers, stewards etc. who all contributed to a hugely enjoyable week for the children.
The Senior Footballers defeated Malin 1-11 to 1-7 on Monday evening while the Reserves won 5-20 to 2-10.
The Junior Footballers recorded a comfortable win over over Glenfin on Sunday in their third Championship group game
The Minor Boys face an away fixture at Glenswilly next Wednesday, August 12th in the Championship, throw in 7pm.  The Dev. team are away to Carndonagh, also at 7pm.
The U-16 Girls football team had a fine win over Naomh Colmcille, Newtown last week in their opening fixture.
The U-16 Boys Footballers made it two wins from two in the Championship with a fine 2-11 to 0-5 win over Glenswilly on Monday.  The boys are away to Letterkenny Gaels next Monday evening at 7.30pm.  The Dev. team lost at St. Michael’s 4-9 to 0-8 and they will host Naomh Colmcille next Monday, also at 7.30pm.
Good luck to Paddy Flood and all our members with the Donegal U-21 hurling panel as they face Mayo in the All Ireland B quarter final in O’Donnell Park this Saturday at 2pm
Please note the Hurling Academy is currently on a two week break and will re-commence on Friday, August 21st.
The Century Cinemas Football Academy is on Sundays at 11am.  New members are always welcome to both academies.  For more information, please contact Ciaran Maguire, 087 4133372, Eugene Duffy, 086 8430240 or Eunan O’Donnell 087 6775637.
The Clubhouse at O’Donnell Park is now available to book for parties, functions, etc.  Contact Niall on 086-3062893 for further information/bookings.
Northern Board football fixtures/results are available via the links on the Club website homepage.  Any amendments to fixtures etc. will be noted on the club Facebook Page as soon as confirmation is received.
This week’s lotto results will be published on Facebook and sent by club email.
Anyone wishing to include an item in the club notes can email pro.steunans.donegal@gaa.ie before 9pm on Monday evenings.
