Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan ran the rule over two trialists last night in a pre-season draw at Irish League side Glenavon.

Harps twice came from behind to earn a draw at Mourneview Park.

Cameron Stewart fired Glenavon in front, but new signing Daniel O’Reilly drew Harps back on level terms.

Just before half-time, Stewart pounced again to give the Lurgan Blues a 2-1 lead at the interval.

Gareth Harkin (above) struck to bring Harps onto an even keel again in the second half.

Harps’ squad was missing the likes of Harry Ascroft, Jacob Borg, Colm Deasy, Sam Todd (who is in training with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s), Keith Cowan and Niall Logue.

Horgan used the occasion to give a run out to two players who are in on trial.

Harps’ young duo Niall McGinley and Michael Gallagher were also absent from the squad as they played for the Republic of Ireland U19s, following a two-day training camp. Former Harps midfielder Tom Mohan is the Irish U19s manager.
