Silver medal for Sommer Lecky at Bauhaus Junior Gala

Sommer Lecky won silver in the women’s high jump at the Bauhaus Junior Gala in Mannheim, Germany today.

The Finn Valley AC woman leapt a best of 1.81m at the Michael Hoffmann Stadium.

Lecky cleared 1.70m, 1.73m, 1.76m and 1.79m before getting over the 1.81m.

Lecky, whose p.b is the 1.86m she managed on two occasions earlier in the year, knocked the bar at 1.83m.

Belgium’s Zita Goossens, who got over 1.83m, won gold.
