SEOSAMH MAC CEALLABHUÍ has moved into club management with the Fintown native taking over at Red Hughs for 2016.

Mac Ceallabhuí managed the Donegal Vocational Schools team to the Ulster VS title in 2013 when they defeated Cavan in the final.

A teacher at Coláiste Ailigh, Mac Ceallabhuí has had success with the Letterkenny school as well as the county Vocational Schools team.

The Naomh Conaill clubman takes over from Donal Reid, who managed Red Hughs for the latter part of 2015 following the departure of Stephen Friel.

Red Hughs were relegated from Division 3 and will play in Division 4 of the All-County Football League in 2016, while they were beaten after a replay by Naomh Ultan in the Junior A final.

In this year’s Dr McKenna Cup, rising Red Hughs man Stephen McMenamin made his debut for the Donegal senior team, lining out against St Mary’s College in the Dr McKenna Cup.

PJ Gallagher and Benji O’Meara will aid Mac Ceallabhuí, while Martin Wilson has been appointed as the reserve team manager of the Monellan side.
