Sean MacCumhaills notes – well done Jamesie Donnelly!

Congratulations to Jamesie Donnelly on picking up another award at the Donegal Sports Star Awards held on Friday night.

We’d also like to wish Jamesie a speedy recovery and hope to see him back playing really soon. 

Ladies manager:

CLG Seán Mac Cumhaills are inviting applicants for the positions of Ladies Senior Football Manager for the 2016 season.

Any interested parties are asked to forward their application to the club secretary by post to Alan Martin, Sessiagh O’Neill, Ballybofey or by email to secretary.seanmccools.donegal@gaa.ie by no later than the 5th of February 2016 or contact the Club Secretary on 086 172 3899 with any queries.

 

 

Donegal League Game:

Well done to Martin O’Reilly, Rory Gallagher and all the Donegal team who picked up a valuable 2 points in their away game to Down on Saturday. The team plays Cork in Ballyshannon at the weekend and we wish them all the best.

 

Senior Training:

Training for both our senior men’s football and hurling continues to go well. The Hurling management wish to thank Eunan Devenney for his continued training sessions with them.

 

Under-10 Boys Football:

There will be a short meeting for all coaches or anyone wishing to help out for this year’s Under-10s in the Clubhouse on Thursday night at 9.00pm to sort out training day and times etc. All welcome. Anyone who is unable to attend but wishes to help can they please contact Simon on 085 150 3092. Thank you.

 

Croke Park National Draw:

Tickets for the Croke Park National Draw are now available. The tickets are €10 each and the first prize is a new car along with other great prizes. All the money the club collects stays in the club so we are hoping for a big push this year. Anyone looking for tickets or looking to return tickets can contact Eddie Walsh on 086 319 7622 or Alan Martin on 086 172 3899 or any senior club member.

 

Registration:

Club membership forms for Juvenile, Adult and Family are available from all club coaches/managers and to download from our website (wwwseanmaccumhaill.com).  The rates are as follows: Juvenile/student is €20, Adult is €30 and family membership is €80 (2 adults and 2 plus children). Registration is extremely important and non-registration will result in your child not being insured and unable to train or play for the club so please register them. New players are more than welcome. The club will also hold additional registration nights to ensure compliance. Please use 2015 form until it updates.

 

Under-12 Boy’s Football:
Football for boys born in 2004 and 2005 commences on Wednesday evening at 7pm to 8pm on the astro-turf. Please bring water, gum shield and €2. For any info please contact Noel on 086 602 8868.

 

Training Schedule:

New players to all teams are more than welcome. Training takes place at the club unless otherwise specified. If there is a change of time/location it will be noted on Facebook or sent via text from the team manager. Training will cost €2 once a week, and all players must have their membership paid. Please bring gum shield/helmet and a bottle of water.

Training for the following teams is now taking place:

Camogie takes place at 5.00pm on Monday and 6pm on Wednesday.

Minor Boys Football is at 6.00pm on Monday.

Under-12 Boys football is at 7.00pm on Wednesday.

Under-14 Girls football is at 6.00pm on Thursday.

Under-16 Girl football is at 5.30pm on a Friday.

Hurling for Under-8s and Under-10s and Under-14 Camgoie is on Sunday at 12.30pm to 2.00pm.

 

Jerseys:

Can all coaches return any sets of jerseys they had last year for their teams as soon as possible please as we take stock of team’s needs for the coming year.

 

Bingo:
The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start for the next 3 weeks. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.

 

Lotto Results:
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 14, 23, 24 and 27. There were two match three winners: Bernie Lynch and Andrew McCarron who both receive €75. This week’s jackpot is €8,800 and Gary Dunnion’s team is selling.

 

Club Shop:

The club has club crested shorts, socks, bags and bobble hats for a range of age groups. If anything is needed please get in contact at 087 623 6599. We have approved small sized hurling helmets in club colours with crest now half price at €55.

 

Donegal Yearbook:
The Donegal yearbook is now on sale. Please contact Eugene Gallagheron 086 609 8801 for a copy. This is a great book to have to look back on all the events of 2015 filled with pictures and info on each club. Book priced at €12.
