CONGRATULATIONS to Jamesie Donnelly who was selected in the Ulster Legends Team (having played in the Railway Cup) to play Kilkenny in Nolan Park Next month.

However, Jamesie has an even bigger day ahead with his wedding so he is unable to take part in the game and had to withdraw. This is obviously a great honor for Jamesie to have earned such a prestigious acknowledgment and for the club also. Once again, well done Jamesie and every best wishes with your wedding to Claire next month.

Disco

On Friday night Sean MacCumhaills is holding a disco for 10-14 year olds. The previous discos have always proved fun for the kids and with it being Halloween it will be fancy dress! There is a prize for the best costume for both boy and girl and entry is €5. Door opens at 8.00 and disco ends at 10.15pm. Bring your friends and come along for a good night’s craic!

Senior Football

Our seniors had their last game of the season on Saturday evening and it ended in a draw with Fanad Gaels. Seán Mac Cumhaills  1.07 – Fanad Gaels – 0.10

There was no reserve game.

The Football Management would like to express their thanks to all our supporters over the year and thank the players for all the effort and commitment they have shown. Team manager Brendan Dunleavy and captain Barney Lafferty Junior expressed their thanks to the backroom team of Mickey McMahon, Barney Lafferty senior, Darren Collins and Seamus Faulkner.

Special word of praise also to Kevin Gallagher the club physio for ensuring our players had the best help available in game preparation and on match days. Special thanks also to the tea ladies and anyone who helped with preparing tea and sandwiches etc. after home games. This is important to acknowledge and it is extremely appreciated.

Club Bags

The club will be placing an order for club crested bags from O’Neills. The bags can either be 22inch or 28inch depending on preference but a minimum order of 12 each would be required. The 22inch is a perfect-sized bag for both minor or senior players, with the 28inch bag offering more space. The price for the 22inch bag will be €27 and the 28inch will be €30. Photo of the bag can be found on the club Facebook page. Please contact Chris on 086 082 3762 if you wish to order a bag. This is the last week orders will be taken and money will be collected by the end of the week.

Club Gear in McElhinneys

McElhinneys have a large amount of club-crested gear in stock which is going for a reduced price with €10 off each item. These items are available in both the sports and children’s department.

Bingo
The Bingo takes place in Jackson’s Hotel on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowballjackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.

Lotto Results
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 3, 7, 8 and 22. There were two match three winners; Maria Gorrell, St. Columba’s College and Cara-Rose Mc Devitt, Glencovitt who receive €75 each. This week’s jackpot is €7,400 and Gary Dunnion’s team is selling.   The club are asking for people to help out by selling lotto’s. This would involve helping to sell 1 week out of every 7 or 8 depending on the amount of teams formed. This is an important source of funding for the club and a great way to help get involved with your club. All help available would be greatly appreciated. If interested please contact Terry O’Reilly on 086 609 5347.
