Sadness at death of long-time Finn Harps kitman Terence Murray

There is deep sadness today following the death of long-time Finn Harps kitman and club stalwart Terence Murray.

A native of Strabane, he lived in the shadows of Finn Park on Trusk Road in Ballybofey.

Terence was a part of the Finn Park furniture while he served as kitman and his duties often went way beyond simply taking care of the gear.

He served under a number of managers and among his most memorable times included the First Division League win with Felix Healy in 2004 and the 2007 promotion-winning season when Paul Hegarty was manager.

Terence was named as Club Person of the Year in 2007.

He was also a popular figure in the Ballybofey & Stranorlar Finn Harps Supporters Club.

Terence died peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital following a short illness.

He is survived by his wife, Philomena, daughters Irene and Catherine, son Declan, brother Declan, sisters Lucy and Juliana, extended family and a wide circle friends.
