Rosses Community School’s Orrin Burgess is our latest Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s.
Burgess took 657 votes in last week’s poll, some 42 per cent of the 1,574 votes cast.
Burgess edged out Special Olympics ace Patrick Quinlivan, who had 575 votes.
Rosses CS booked a place in the Tom Ticher Cup final thanks to a win over St Gerald’s College from Castlebar.
Adam McCaffrey and Orrin Burgess netted the goals for Enda Walsh’s team. Burgess was one of the stars of the show for the Rosses outfit, pulling the strings to superb effect in the engine room.
Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jacket and a bobble hat, supplied by O’Reilly’s.
The award winners are be chosen via a public vote from a shortlist selected by our panel.
O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.
