RONAN Curtis continued his stunning form with the opening goal as Portsmouth defeated Lincoln in League One tonight.

The St Johnston man hit his 13th goal of the season from a free kick late in the first half as Pompey’s fine rune was maintained at Sincil Bank.

Steve Seddon was fouled deep into added time at the end of the first period. Seddon dummied the free kick, Imps ‘keeper Josh Vickers was caught out as Curtis curled home.

Curtis has been drawing attention from clubs in the Championship, but the attacker has said he is happy at Fratton Park.

The Republic of Ireland international was involved throughout the second half and Portsmouth made the win safe when, after Seddon again was taken down, John Marquis converted from the penalty spot.

Also in League One, Stephen McLaughlin played the 90 minutes as Southend lost 3-1 against Doncaster Rovers.

Conrad Logan was in nets as Forest Green Rovers lost heavily in League Two, going down 4-1 at home to Carlisle United, while Dale Gorman was an unused substitute as Newport County beat Macclesfield 1-0.
