RAMELTON man Ronan Boyce has been named in a Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for two friendly internationals against Denmark.

Ireland manager Tom Mohan will pit the Irish U19s’ wits against Denmark in two games at the Showgrounds in Sligo on Friday, October 11 (7pm), and next Monday, October 14 (1pm).

Boyce made his debut for the Derry City senior team at the end of last month when appearing as a substitute in the Candystripes’ 4-0 hammering of Cork City at the Brandywell. Boyce has been highly rated by Derry manager Declan Devine.

And now former Finn Harps star Mohan has called Boyce into his ranks for the Danish double header.

After last season’s fantastic campaign that concluded with a Semi-Final appearance in the UEFA Under-19 European Championships, Mohan’s side will use these games in preparations for the upcoming Qualifying Round games against Switzerland, Austria and Gibraltar.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s Conor Noß is called into an Ireland squad for the first time. The German-born attacker has been part of recent first-team squads with the Bundesliga side in domestic and European games.
