DESPITE ATROCIOUS CONDITIONS on Saturday night and widespread flooding the Finn Valley AC Remembrance 10k event went ahead with 474 participants.
It was a special occasion as family /friends came together to mark the memory of those that have passed away with many taking the opportunity to sign the Wall of Remembrance which is a feature of the event.
A minute’s silence was observed at the start acknowledging additionally the atrocities of recent days in Paris.

Finn Valley AC’s Gerard Gallagher was first home in 33:35, with teammate Dermot McElchar second in 34:10 and Pail Breslin from Letterkenny AC third in 34:27.
Catrione Devine, in 40:14 and also from Finn Valley AC, was the first female home.
