TWELVE MONTHS AGO St Eunan’s and Kilcar played out a dramatic County Under-21 final in Convoy.
In the end, a Sean Hume goal – his second of the evening – gave the side managed by Noel Keaveney victory against Kilcar, who contributed enormously to the contest.
The Towney outfit scored a marvellous first half goal through Eoin McHugh and held a seven-point lead early in the second half, but a goal from St Eunan’s Darragh Mulgrew and Hume’s 2-6 meant the trophy was headed to Letterkenny on a 3-12 to 1-15 scoreline.
The two sides are back again, with Pearse Park in Ardara playing host to this year’s Under-21 final on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
