CONOR GETHINS scored 67 goals in his five years at Finn Harps between 2005 and 2010.

The Lifford native (pictured above courtesy of Nairn County FC ) left the Ballybofey club and after a year at Peterhead, signed for Narin County, who play in the Press & Journal Highland League in Scotland.

He scored his first goal for Nairn on his debut against Strathspey Thistle at home on July 30, 2011 and scored goals number 100 and 101 on his 101st appearance, which was against Rothes at home on February 22, 2014.

Gethins, who also spent time at Galway United in 2006 on loan, won the Highland League Player of the Year award at the end of the 2012/13 season and the 2013/14 season. He is the first and only Nairn player to ever win this award and was voted into the Nairn County Team of the Century in the summer of 2014.

Thirty-one-year-old Gethins has been banging in the goals for the side who play at Station Park since and on Wednesday night scored the only goal at Forres Mechanics in the semi finals of the Menzies Distribution North of Scotland Cup. It was his 150th goal for the club in just over four years.

Nairn County have been keeping tabs on Gethins’ exploits and have presented the following statistics:

2011/12: 27 goals
2012/13: 40 goals
2013/14: 41 goals
2014/15: 34 goals
2015/16: 8 goals

Nairn are currently sixth in the 18-team Press & Journal Highland League and take on Clachnacuddin FC on Saturday.
