Rachael Darragh bowed out of the RSL Swedish Open this evening.

The Raphoe woman was beaten by European Junior champion Line Christophersen from Denmark 21-14 21-8 in the last 16.

Darragh had beaten Lia Salehar from Slovenia in her opener with Salehir having retired early in their game.

Darragh also competed in the women’s doubles in Lund. Darragh and Sara Boyle lost out to Denmark’s Julie Finne-Ipsen and Claudia Paredes 21-10 21-18.

Earlier this week, Sam Magee and Chloe Magee lost out to world number 3 pair Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino of Japan in the Malaysian Open.

The Magee siblings showed up well, however, only losing out 21-15 21-15. At one stage in the second game, the Magees were level 13-all, before the Japanese duo showed their class.
