We have six nominees for this, our 16th Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s.

Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jersey and a half-zip, supplied by O’Reilly’s.

The award winner will be chosen via a public vote from a shortlist selected by our panel.

O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.

Our poll closes at noon on Thursday.

Amber Barrett (Peamount United)

At the weekend, Barrett scored a hat-trick as Peamount United hammered Cork City 9-1 in the Women’s National League. The hat-trick was her seventh treble of the season and ensured the Milford woman is the WNL’s top scorer for a second season in a row. Barrett has now scored 30 League goals for the Peas and will feature in Sunday’s WFAI Cup final against Wexford at Aviva Stadium.

Calvin Bradley (Red Hughs)

Donegal junior champions Red Hughs overcame Con Magees in Sunday’s Ulster Junior quarter-final in Portglenone. Calvin Bradley was in inspirational form for the Killygordon men. Bradley scored 2-3 of Red Hughs’ 3-8 and the full-forward is one of the main reasons that they are preparing for an Ulster semi-final.

Joel Bradley-Walsh (Finn Harps Under-17s)

Finn Harps Under-17s clinched a historic double on Saturday. Declan Boyle’s young Harps came out on top against a star-studded Shamrock Rovers, including Manchester City-bound goalkeeper Bazunu, in the League final at Maginn Park. Joel Bradley-Walsh netted a cracking free-kick and turned in an excellent display to help Harps to glory.

Caitriona Jennings (Letterkenny AC)

In Sunday’s Dublin Marathon, Letterkenny AC’s Caitriona Jennings was the second fastest Irish woman in the race. A total of 20,000 participants took part and Jennings finished in 2 hours, 41 minutes and 17 seconds.

Conor O’Donnell (St Eunan’s College)

St Eunan’s College made a winning return to the ranks of the Danske Bank MacRory Cup last week. The Colm McFadden-managed St Eunan’s had an excellent  2-8 to 2-5 win over Patrician High from Carrickmacross. O’Donnell’s pair of first half goals proved vital for the Sentry Hill men.

Conor Rodgers (Convoy Arsenal)

There was something of an upset on Sunday in the Ulster Junior Cup when the holders Aileach went down against Convoy Arsenal. Aileach, one of the Inishowen League leading contenders, were frog-marched to the exit by Convoy. Conor Rodgers netted twice for Mickey Rodgers’ team in the 3-2 win.
