FOLLOWING Donegal’s loss to Mayo in the All-Ireland quarter-finals, there’s been plenty of talk of retirements or who will stay on board in Rory Gallagher’s panel.

On this week’s podcast, John Joe Doherty – the 1992 All-Ireland winner and former Donegal manager – and former Sligo Rovers, Coleraine, Finn Harps Linfield midfielder Anthony Gorman discuss their own careers and how they decided on when to hang up their boots.

On the other hand, Gorman’s son Dale had the night beforehand made his first senior appearance as he came on for Stevenege FC in the League Cup at Ipswich.

Together with Charlie Collins and Chris McNulty of Donegal Sport Hub, there’s also talk of where now for Donegal, an exciting derby in the County U-21 Championships between Kilcar and Naomh Columba, Finn Harps’ vital clash with Shelbourne, Jason Quigley’s win over Michael Faulk and the Donegal interest at the World Championships in Athletics, which will get underway in Beijing on Friday.
