Picture special: Carndonagh GAA club hold annual presentation function

CARNDONAGH GAA club held its annual presentation dance on Sunday evening in Tul-na-Ri. 

The special guest for the evening was Hurling All Star, Donegal Hurling Captain and Captain of the Irish Shinty team Danny Cullen.

The celebrations began with a quick word from chairperson Joanne McKinney who welcomed everyone to the presentation dance reminding and mentioned all the hard work going on in the club.

MC for the night Ray Lannon then proceeded to announce all the award winners across the codes of Hurling, Camogie, Ladies Football and Men’s Football who were presented with their awards by Danny.

The rest of the night was spent dancing to the music DJ Scotty who kept the floor packed for the evening.

The following individual awards were presented on the night: Scor Participants:Ava McDermott, Eimear Doherty, Atheena McLaughlin, Katie Mai Mooney & Rory Lynch; Scor Sinsearach: Ray Lannon; Scor Sioisearach: Ava McDermott; County Representative Awards – Under 15 Football: Cian Doherty; Under 15 Ladies Football:Lucia Doherty; Under 16 Camogie: Blaithin Toland, Mary Kate McCrossan, Briana Tully, Eimear O’Donnell, Erin McLaughllin, Ciara O’Donnell, Niamh Diver Hall, Rhianna Gallagher, Sadhbh Mullan; Under 20 Football:Anthony Doherty; Under 20/Senior Football: Conor O’Donnell; Senior County Hurling: Padraig Doherty; Senior Ladies Football: Deirdre Foley & Treasa Doherty; Donegal Masters:Mickey McLaughlin(M); Club Referee: JJ Lafferty.

Team Awards given were the Senior Hurlers – Junior League Winners; Minor Footballers – County Minor League Division 3 Winners; Under 16 Footballers – All County A Runners Up Championship; Under 18 Camogie Championship Runners Up; Under 16 Hurlers – B Championship Winners; Under 16 Camogie – League Winners.
