Paul Durcan has just won the All-Ireland club title – and Twitter loves him!

BALLYBODEN ST ENDA’S won the AIB All-Ireland club championship this afternoon against Castlebar Mitchels, with Paul Durcan playing his part.

A 2-14 to 0-7 win for the Dublin and Leinster champions looked simple on the face of it, but the Donegal goalkeeper certainly played his part with one excellent save from Neil Lydon’s shot, which was touched onto the post in the first half.

As well as that, Durcan, who played for Four Masters in Donegal town and has been commuting from Qatar to line out for Ballyboden, was precise with his kick-outs and even had a fine pop at a 45, only to see it come back off the post in first half injury time.

With Durcan having won the 2012 All-Ireland with Donegal, today’s win means he’s the first man from the county to win both the top honours at club and county level.

Best of luck to Paul Durcan and Ballyboden St Enda’s in the football club final

This has started like Paul Durcan’s last All-Ireland final against a Mayo team.

I’d swear Paul Durcan put backspin on that kick-out for last Ballyboden point by O’Connor!

What a signing Paul Durcan has been for Ballyboden. He was superb in every aspect of goalkeeping in that first half. Class keeper. #gaa

Fabulous strike from Paul Durcan, pity about the post #AIBclubFinals #Donegal #GAA https://t.co/eGlnrTNkEi

Good thing it’s half time papa needs 15 mins to recover from running up to take that. Ballyboden are all Ireland champions, won’t be caught.

I might be biased but Paul Durcan is the best goalkeeper. In the world.Across all sports. He meant to hit the post on that 45 too #TheToughest
