Jason Quigley is bringing the NABF middleweight belt back to Donegal again – and a big crowd is expected at a homecoming reception in Ballybofey on Thursday evening.

The Villa Rose Hotel, one of Quigley’s main sponsors, will host the reception billed ‘Bringing the belt home’ at 7pm.

Quigley retained the belt thanks to a unanimous decision win over Mexican Freddy Hernandez on Thursday night in Indio, California.

The win, which moved him to 15-0 as a professional, saw Quigley hold onto the belt he won when beating Glen Tapia in March, 2017.

The popular Ballybofey middleweight is set to return home and is taking the strap back to Donegal again.

“Can’t wait to bring this belt back to the hills of Donegal this week,” he wrote on social media.

“I had great support from back home for last few weeks and for my fight. Hope to see you all at Villa Rose in Ballybofey on Thursday when I bring the belt back to you.”

A Q&A with the North American champion will be conducted and there will be photograph and autograph opportunities with a number of special guests to be confirmed.
