Buncrana Ladies crashed out of the Ulster Ladies Intermediate Championship first round on Saturday afternoon following defeat at the hands of Monaghan’s O’Neill Shamrock Ladies.

The Inishowen side fought-hard against a relentless Monaghan outfit at the Scarvey, Buncrana but, in the end, fell to a 1-14 to 2-3 defeat.

The victory for O’Neill Shamrock puts them into the semi-final of the Ulster Ladies Intermediate Championship.

Buncrana are one of three Donegal clubs in Ulster Ladies Championship action this weekend, with Termon and Naomh Muire (Lower Rosses) also in action on Sunday.

The Donegal champions (Termon) go into the game on the back of an impressive Donegal campaign including a 5-6 to 2-13 win over the reigning champions, Glenfin.

Meanwhile, junior champions Naomh Muire are also in action against Fermanagh champions Aughadrumsee.
