Darach O’Connor came off the bench to score a goal with his first touch as Buncrana defeated Downings in the Intermediate Championship at The Scarvey.

O’Connor has been troubled by injury of late, but the diminutive forward – two weeks out from Donegal’s opening Ulster SFC game against Antrim – was brought on at half-time and helped steer his side to a comfortable win over last year’s Junior Champions.
O’Connor netted early in the second half and also added two points.

O’Connor’s fellow Donegal panellist Caolan McGonagle hit the net from a penalty and weighed in with three points.
