‘Not for sale’ – Portsmouth insist star man Curtis is going nowhere

PORTSMOUTH have insisted that Ronan Curtis is not for sale amid further speculation about his future.

Championship clubs Blackburn, Brentford and Reading are all said to be keeping tabs on the St Johnston man.

Curtis has two years left on his contract at Fratton Park and Danny Cowley says he intends to keep hold of the Irish international.

“His future is here, 100 per cent,” Cowley said.

“He’s going nowhere. We don’t want to lose any of our players – we’re Portsmouth Football Club.”

Curtis has bagged three goals in Pompey’s last four games and Cowley wants to add to his squad rather than see any players depart.

He added: “I love Ronan. How do you replace that amount of personality, character and his quality?

“We want to keep our best players and add to them. We want to be successful. We want to win.”
