The countdown to the 2019 North West 10k is well and truly underway in aid of three very worthy charities – Little Angels Association Letterkenny, Donegal Cancer Flights and Services and Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Ireland.

The hugely successful North West 10k has raised close to 800,000 euros for over 30 charities since it started in 1997.

Those interested in running or walking in the event are encouraged to register on-line now at www.northwest10k.com.

The 23rd North West 10k takes place on Sunday 5th May at 2pm. Entry Fee €15 for walkers and runners.

Thanks to all the sponsors and friends for their continued support. The sponsors this year included DonegalDaily.com, Century Cinemas, Brian McCormick Sports, Value Centre and the Mount Errigal Hotel.

Sponsor cards and posters are available from Letterkenny Chamber office or any of the three charities. The three charities hosted a County Music Night in the Mount Errigal Hotel on Friday night.

There was a Bag Pack at the new Dunnes Stores in Letterkenny on Saturday.

This Saturday there is a Charity Swim in the Finn Valley Centre Pool from 3 to 6pm.

This Sunday there is a Tractor Run from the Glenside Business Park in Ballybofey. On next Wednesday, May 1st there is a table quiz at the Backstage Bar & Grill at Century Cinemas.
