DONEGAL BOXERS were out of luck at the National Under-18 and Senior Cadet Championships this weekend.

Labhaoise Clarke, Jessica Clarke, Ciara Anderson and Ciara Craig were all beaten in their respective bouts.

On Friday night, Twin Towns woman Anderson lost out to Megan Flynn from Cherry Orchard in an Under-18 final at 48kgs.

Carndonagh’s Labhaoise Clarke, an eight-time Irish champion, took victory in her semi-final on Friday, defeating Aishling Murray from Muskerry at 57kgs. However, Clarke lost out to Kellie McLoughlin from Drimnagh in yesterday’s final.

Her sister, Jessica, lost out to Mary Kate Nevin from Mullingar Elite at 50kgs in the Senior Cadet semis and, also at 50kgs, Ciara Craig from Dunfanaghy was beaten by Sarah Edris of Monkstown.
