A number of new managers will get their tenures underway at the weekend as the action continues in the 2017 Donegal Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta.

There are three senior games pencilled in and one in the junior championship.

Adrian Glackin has taken over from Michael Canning as the manager of Donegal SFC champions Glenswilly, who face neighbours Glenfin at 11am on Saturday at Pairc Tabhoige.

Glenfin are also under a new management team this year with Liam Breen having succeeded Liam Ward at the helm of the An Gaeltacht Lár men.

Mervyn O’Donnell was installed as the new Gaoth Dobhair boss and his opening game is on Saturday at 3pm at Towney when they face Martin McHugh’s Kilcar. O’Donnell took the baton from Conall Sheridan and will be assisted by John Bosco Gallagher and Martin Coll.

Two new managers will cross swords on Saturday at Pairc na nGael when Naomh Columba host Naomh Muire in the senior competition at 4pm.

John Pigeon will be joined in the hotset at Naomh Muire by Owenie McGarvey for 2017 and they travel to face a Naomh Columba side that has Paddy J McGinley back at the helm.

In the junior Gaeltacht competition on Sunday, Gaoth Dobhair host Kilcar at 11am.
