Naomh Muire notes – Big games at The Banks

CLUB Senior football is now back on the agenda and there are three big games in the Banks in the coming weeks.

This weekend sees Fanad Gaels visit in league action. This is an important league match as well as a good stiff run in to the Championship.

The following two weekends sees the visits of Termon and Killybegs in that order in the Senior Championship.

This is a very exciting few weeks of action and as usual it’s important to get a big support for these crucial games. Having two Senior championship matches in the Banks is special and no doubt the squad will be working hard in the coming weeks and giving it their very best.

Croke Park trip

What a great day out on Saturday in Croke park. Alas the result didn’t go our way but the children had a great time. Thanks to all the Adults who traveled on the buses and to all who helped organise this wonderful trip.

Under-21 Championship

Played on Sunday evening, the first half was very evenly matched with sides swapping the lead before going in at half time at 0-07 each.
Playing with the hill and slight breeze in the second half Dungloe hit some mighty points and ran out deserving winners: Dungloe 0-14 Naomh Muire 0-07. The game was played in front of a good attendance and we wish Dungloe all the best in the next round.

Lotto
The numbers draws in the lotto this week were 12-14-18-19. There was no jackpot  winner. One match three winner was Paul Boyle Loch an Iúir. Next week’s jackpot is €1,460.
