DONEGAL MINOR CHAMPIONS Naomh Conaill have been handed a tricky draw in the Ulster Minor Club Football Championship Tournament.

John O’Malley’s team have at least avoided the preliminary round but will take on the winners of Kilrea, the Derry winners, and last year’s Ulster champions Crossmaglen Rangers of Armagh.

In January, Crossmaglen won the Ulster competition, which is run out of the St Paul’s club in Belfast, defeated St Eunan’s on a 4-12 to 1-6 scoreline.

The draw was made at the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Antrim club at City Hall on Saturday night, where Dublin manager Jim Galvin and President of the GAA, Aogán Ó Fearghaill.

The 2016 competition gets underway later this month.

Preliminary round: Kilrea (Derry) v Crossmaglen (Armagh). Quarter-finals: Enniskillen (Fermanagh) v Crosserlough (Cavan), Dunloy (Antrim) v Burren (Down), Corduff (Monaghan) v Carrickmore (Tyrone), Naomh Conaill (Donegal) v Kilrea or Crossmaglen.
