Moville continued their great start to the season by making it three wins on the trot last night against Letterkenny Gaels at Carrick Field on Saturday evening.

Moville 3-17 Letterkenny Gaels 0-11.

Playing against the breeze in the first half Moville quickly got into their stride and controlled the game with Ciaran Diver and Danny Murphy hitting the first two points before Letterkenny Gaels registered their opening point.

Moville got the first goal of the game in the 10th minute. After some brilliant build up play from the defence right up the middle to Micheal Barr who rattled the Gaels net with an excellent finish.

Some great football was played through the first half by both sides but in the 28th minute  Moville scored their second goal through Ryan McDermott.

Letterkenny made a mini fight back in the remaining minutes of the first half to leave the half time score Moville 2-08 Letterkenny Gaels 0-7.

The second half began and Moville got back on top with Ciaran Diver driving the team on from midfield and just after five minutes of the restart Diver rushed through the Gaels defence to unleash a fierce drive that gave the visiting goalkeeper no chance.

This gave Moville a platform to control the game for the rest of the game and enabled their younger players like Cathal McLaughlin and Patrick Faulkner to get on the scoreboard with two excellent taken points.
