Moville confirm men’s and ladies’ managers for 2016 season

MOVILLE HAVE ANNOUNCED the appointment of both the men’s senior and ladies senior management for the year ahead.

Armagh native Sean O’Hare (pictured above), who works at Moville Community College, has been installed as the men’s senior manager and Jimmy Hegarty takes over as the clubs senior ladies manager.

For the last two seasons, Gerard Faulkner was in charge of the club’s men’s side, who last season finished fourth in the Marley Coach Hire All-County Football League Division 4.

O’Hare guided the minor boys to success in winning the Inishowen minor title in 2015.

However, they were knocked out of the Junior A Championship in the first round group stage having drawn 1-8 apiece with Robert Emmets and lost to both St Mary’s Convoy and eventual winners Naomh Ultan.

As manager of the ladies’ panel, Hegarty, who replaces Anthony Doogan, can draw on the experience of the minors, who were last year’s Donegal MFC and reached the Ulster final with Paul McDermott in charge.

Hegarty’s daughters Niamh – the current Donegal skipper – and Ciara will form the backbone of the team with fellow county players Niamh McLaughlin and Blathaid McLaughlin. Another Hegarty, Tara, is part of the Donegal Under-16 panel and played her part in Moville’s minor success last year.
