Sean MacCumhaill Park will undergo a pitch inspection tomorrow morning ahead of the Dr McKenna Cup semi-final between Donegal and Armagh.

The game is penciled in for 8pm in Ballybofey, but officials will carry out an examination of the surface tomorrow at 9.30am.

The Athletic Grounds in Armagh will also be assessed and a decision will be made whether to play the game, switch it, call it off or to await a second inspection.

A number of sporting fixtures in Donegal have already fallen victim to the weather.

This evening’s Donegal Youth League game between Bonagee United and Keadue Rovers is off, while the Schools League decider between Loreto, Milford and Deele College and the All-Ireland B semi-final between Mulroy and St Killian’s were also called off.

A Status Yellow Warning for Snow and Ice is in place for the whole country today, valid until 3am Wednesday.

A wind warning has been updated to alert people to take care among mean winds speeds of 55 to 65 km/h giving gusts of 90 to 110km/h throughout Tuesday until Wednesday at 3am. High-sided vehicles are especially vulnerable in windy conditions and should take necessary precautions.

A flood warning has also been issued for Donegal and western counties due to an increased risk of coastal flooding.
