A SECOND HALF Tony McNamee goal gave Milford a fantastic victory over Glenswilly at Moyle View this afternoon.

The side managed by Danny O’Donnell had gone six games without a win, since their defeat of Bundoran on opening day.

However, they’ve only been falling short by small margins and this afternoon put that right against the team who won the Donegal SFC last October.

Caolan Kelly took advantage of a mistake by Milford goalkeeper Caolan McGettigan to give the away team the lead.

However, Milford were just a point down at at break, 1-4 to 1-3, because of an excellent Joey Cullen goal for the hosts.

Former Donegal midfielder Neil Gallagher was forced off for Glenswilly with a collarbone injury.

In the second half, Cathal McGettigan was impressive, scoring five points, and McNamee grabbed the all-important goal in the 2-7 to 1-7 Milford win.

Meanwhile, following St Eunan’s loss in Gaoth Dobhair, Kilcar are the only side in the top flight to have an unbeaten record.

The team managed by Barry Doherty enjoyed a 1-16 to 1-12 win at St Michael’s at the Bridge in Dunfanaghy.

Colm McFadden was in fine form for the home side, who struggled in the first half before making a game of it in the second.

Stephen McBrearty put over four points for Kilcar, who went in 0-10 to 0-6 ahead at half-time.

A goal in the second half from Andrew McClean meant Kilcar were in control, although late on Lee McColgan did grab a point for the locals.

And at Davy Brennan Memorial Park in Glenties, Naomh Conaill posted their second win of the season when they saw off Four Masters, 2-13 to 3-5.

It was the visitors who burst ahead with goals from Conor McDaid and Patrick Reid to establish an unlikely 2-0 to 0-0 lead

However, Masters didn’t add to that total and Naomh Conaill, with Dermot Molloy kicking 0-9 over the hour, were 0-8 to 2-0 up at half-time.

The tide really began to turn after half-time when Logan Quinn scored two goals for Naomh Conaill. Shaun Meehan scored one at the other end at the bitter end.
