MILFORD continued with their winning ways in the All-County Football League Division Three on Saturday evening.

Milford 0-14 Letterkenny Gaels 1-9

The league leaders were given a tough game by the side from the Glebe, who led 0-6 to 0-2 after 20 minutes with Christopher Barrett’s opening pair of points cancelled out by efforts from Mark Hunter and the lively Conor McBrearty, who would score 1-3 in all.

Three minutes before half-time, McBrearty put a penalty past Sean Gallagher – after the scorer of four points Cathal McGettigan was black-carded – and the visitors were 1-7 to 0-6 in front.

With Luke Barrett taking responsibilities from placed balls, Milford fought their way back into the contest when he knocked over four times. They managed to come back to win by two points.
