Milford club notes – seniors on cusp of promotion as U-16 ladies face county final

OUR SENIORS CAN SECURE promotion to Division 2 this weekend when they take on Letterkenny Gaels away this Sunday.

Should Na Galloglaigh come away with 2 points from this encounter they will have won the league with a game to spare. As this would be the first time Na Galloglaigh will have been promoted to Division 2 since 1992.

Iit is hoped as much support as possible can travel the short distance to Letterkenny to support the lads and help them get over the line against a Gaels side still fighting to ensure their Division 3 status which means this game will be no walk in the park. Throw in times are 1.30pm for the Reserves with the Seniors afterwards at 3pm.

After defeating Fanad Gaels 2-7 to 1-4 last week our Under-16 Ladies have now advanced to the County Final where they will play Ardara in Convoy on Wednesday at 7pm.

After the first match against Fanad Gaels ended a draw 5-7 to 4-10 this semi final was always going to be a really tough match.

Na Galloglaigh completely dominated the first half on Tuesday but there was only a goal between them at half time. In the second half they came out and went at Fanad and were the much better team to run out winners by six points.

This was a real team performance with the hgirls showing a lot of guts and courage to progress to the final. This is a brilliant bunch of girls who have worked hard all year and deserve as much support as possible for their final.

This week’s lotto numbers were 3-4-7-22. No jackpot winner, 1 match 3 winner, wins €70 each. Mary McFadden, Drumbern. Next weeks Jackpot is €1,300. Don’t forget you can enter the lotto from the comfort of your own home by playing through our own FREE Club App. Usual rules apply, pick 4 numbers per box, €2 and €5 options available. Numbers must be entered before 10pm or else they roll over to the next week. Perfect way for our many supporters and exiles overseas who would like to continue to support their Club.

Anyone interested in getting involved in the coaching of underage teams are asked to contact Shaun Paul Barrett on 086-6052169

The Club is seeking lotto sellers in the Milford, Ramelton and Rathmullan areas. If you are interested contact Joe McNulty on 086-8547114

A selection of club gear is available to order. Photos and prices of these items are on the club website and on the new Team App. Orders can be placed with Agnes Ryan 0868194751
