McBrearty named in Donegal team to face Tyrone

PATRICK McBrearty has been named in the Donegal team to face Tyrone in the Ulster SFC tomorrow.

In the team listed in the virtual match day programme, McBrearty is included alongside Michael Murphy and Jamie Brennan in the Donegal full-forward line.

The Kilcar man has not played competitively since injuring a quad muscle in a challenge game against Roscommon earlier this month.

McBrearty sat out the Allianz League games against Tyrone and Kerry with tomorrow’s game taking firm priority.

Michael Langan and Jason McGee, who have also had injuries lately, are also named in Declan Bonner’s starting XV.

The teams are, though, subject to change, but the team as named certainly comes as a lift for Donegal supporters ahead of tomorrow’s clash in Ballybofey.

The game will be played behind closed doors but will be shown life by RTÉ and BBC.

Donegal: Shaun Pattton; Stephen McMenamin, Neil McGee, Eoghan Bán Gallagher; Ryan McHugh, Paul Brennan, Peadar Mogan; Hugh McFadden, Jason McGee; Ciarán Thompson, Niall O’Donnell, Michael Langan; Patrick McBrearty, Michael Murphy, Jamie Brennan.

Tyrone: Niall Morgan; Liam Rafferty, Ronan McNamee, Pádraig Hampsey; Tiernan McCann, Michael O’Neill, Michael McKiernan; Brian Kennedy, Matthew Donnelly; Kieran McGeary, Conor mcKenna, Conor Meyler; Darren McCurry, Peter Harte, Darragh Canavan.
