Marc Walsh of Gweedore Celtic on the mark for Ireland Development Squad at Hibernia Cup

GWEEDORE CELTIC’S Marc Walsh was on the mark for the Republic of Ireland Development Squad in this morning’s 3-1 victory over St Joseph’s Boys in the Hibernia Cup in Sallynoggin.

Walsh (pictured above, right, with clubmate Shane Boyle)  is a product of the Gweedore Celtic Youth Academy having been at the club since the age of five is joined by Bonagee United’s Conor O’Reilly played their part in the Irish victory in Group A.

Ireland then lost Sunderland 2-1 this afternoon – a result that means they are in a third-fourth place play-off tomorrow. Group B is made up of Celtic, Northern Ireland Development Squad, Nottingham Forest and Norwich City.
