Man of the match and Gelnfin captain Gerard Ward reacts following IFC Final victory

Gerard Ward was in brilliant form for Glenfin and was the best player during the IFC final on Sunday, scoring an impressive eight points, almost single-handedly shooting Glenfin towards victory.

Following the game, the full-forward gave his reaction to Charlie Collins.

“Today hasn’t gone too bad at all, it has been phenomenal and I am absolutely delighted with everything. There was a lot of nerves coming down the road this morning.

“Ballyshannon, we played them twice in the league last year, but this year we haven’t play them at all, they were a bit of an unknown, they were playing Division One opposition and there is a wee bit in your head that maybe they could write us off the field.”
