Malin notes – Dinner dance to take place in the Malin Hotel on Saturday

THIS YEAR’S DINNER DANCE will be held on Saturday the 30th of January in the Malin Hotel.

Tickets will be available from next week from any commitee member priced €20. Music for the dance will be by Me, Myself and I and there will be a special guest on the night. Patrons are asked to attend at 7.30pm as dinner will be served at 8.00pm sharp.

UNDERAGE TRAINING         

Under 6 boys training is on every Sunday from 10:00am – 11:15am          Under 8 boys training is on every Saturday from 3:00pm – 4:15pm         Under 10 boys training is on every Sunday from 11:30am – 12:45pm         Under 6 and Under 8 girls training is on every Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm

FUN DAY

The ladies board are organising a fun day for all primary school girls in the Malin GAA grounds on Saturday the 6th of Febuary from 11.00am – 1:00pm. All primary school girls are very welcome to come along, you don’t have to be a member of a girl’s team and everyone is welcome.

INDOOR SPORTS HALL AND FUNCTION ROOM BOOKINGS       

Anyone looking to book the indoor sports hall or the upstairs function & meeting rooms for any activities, classes or meetings are asked to contatct Susan Byrne on 0749370638 or 0867832242. The upstairs function room is an ideal venue for private parties with full kitchen, stage, toilet and bar facilities.

LOTTO          

There was no winner of this week’s jackpot of €950. The numbers drawn were 1-7-5-2-6-4-3 and the €50 winner was Rosena Toner, Druncarbit, Malin Town, with the €20 seller prize going to D and P McLaughlin, Drumcarbit, Malin Town. Next week’s jackpot is €1000. The previous weeks €50 prize went to David Mullarkey Glengad and the numbers were 6-2-7-4-3-5-1.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
The Malin Operation Transformation Group 2016 has started up again and will run along with the RTE programme encouraging Ireland to take part and get fit & healthy. The TV Show starts at 8.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday nights, the group go out on a group walk around Malin Town on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays at 7.30pm from the clubhouse, all welcome to join in. DONEGAL YEARBOOK The Donegal yearbook is now on sale in the club shop or from John or Susan Byrne costing €10. This features information on all county teams as well as featuring reviews and accounts of the year from all clubs in the county including Malin.

GET FIT WITH CHARLIE  Get Fit with Charlie is back from Monday the 11th of January with a special 6 week program on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Malin GAA Centre. Women @ 6:30pm Men @ 8pm €60 each or €50 for 2. Pay as you go for €5 per class. Contact Charlie on 0874103782 or check out his facebook page.
