Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf club hosted our Annual Golf Classic on Friday the 21st of August.

With over 20 teams taking part it was an enjoyable day for all and we wish to thank all who took part. We’d like to thank John Lillis, Tim Donnelly, Terry O’Reilly and Mickey McMahon for organising it.

A sincere word of praise has to go to Seamus Lafferty from Lafferty’s Buses and The Navenny Grill who were the main sponsors and huge appreciation to others who sponsored tee-boxes. Terry O’Reilly acknowledged the continued support from all companies for the Golf Classic and spoke words of gratitude for the Golf Club and Chairman Paddy McNulty for hosting this event year in and year out.

Adam Lynch, Carl Dunnion and Mickey McMahon

Well done to the Under-17 Donegal team in winning the McGuigan Cup on Saturday in Maghera. A special word of praise to Seán Mac Cumhaill’s players Adam Lynch and Carl Dunnion and to mentor Mickey McMahon. Well done lads.

Doors open at 8.00pm and the disco will finish at 10.30pm sharp.  Admission is €5 and soft drinks will be available to buy on the night. The next round of championship takes place this Sunday with away games for our senior and reserves taking on Glenswilly. Throw in times are 3.00pm for seniors and 1.30pm for reserves. Any changes will be noted on social media.
