LyIT safely through to second round of Moynihan Cup

Letterkenny Institute of Technology’s ladies booked a place in the second round of the Moynihan Cup.

LyIT overcame Royal College of Surgeons 5-11 to 2-4 yesterday, with Emma McMahon scoring 2-4 in the game at Ringsend.

McMahon’s scoring was aided by Aisleen McGuinness, who registered 2-1, while Aoife Gillespie bagged the other LyIT goal.

Zoe McGlynn and Aine O’Reilly scored two points each with Danielle McDevitt (0-1) also on the mark.

LyIT face Mary Immaculate from Limerick in the next round.
