NAOMH COLMCILLE are on the verge of becoming the first ever Donegal side to win the Ulster Junior Football Championship. Live updates here …

The Newtowncunningham side take on Belnaleck from Fermanagh.

Here are the teams –

Belnaleck: Eoin McGahey; Pauric Owens, Mark McKenzie, Ronan Quigley; Sean Lewsley, Che Cullen, Kane Connor; Dermot Lewsley, Dwayne McNulty; Darragh McGurn, Conor McAuley, Peter Monaghan; Bryan Owens, Ciaran McBrien, Joseph Heavey

Naomh Colmcille: John Roulstone; Gerard Curran, Alex Devenney, Paul Friel; Ricky Hegarty, Ciaran Devine, Kevin Gallagher; Michael Lynch, Daniel Clarke; John Fullerton, Ryan McErlean, Oran Hilley; Matthew Crossan, Willie Gillespie, William Lynch.

3 mins – Michale Lynch opens the scoring having taken a short free from Daniel Clarke to edge Naomh Colmcille in front. Naomh Colmcille 0-1 Belnaleck 0-0

7 mins – Already five wides, three for Belnaleck thus far on a freezing cold night at Celtic Park.

9 mins – This time it’s Lynch’s midfield partner who scores. Daniel Clarke with a fine point win the left foot. Good start. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-1

10 mins – Ciaran McBrien, the Belnaleck full-forward, opens the account of the Fermanagh team. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-1

13 mins – William Lynch is down off the ball and referee Maggie Farrelly, the match referee, gives a yellow card to Jospeh Heavey Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-1

14 mins – Four wides already from Belnaleck and two balls have dropped short into the hands of Naomh Colmcille goalkeeper John Roulstone. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-1

18 mins – Joseph Heavey cuts inside on his right foot and levels it up. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-2

22 mins – Michael Lynch is yellow carded for a foul on Peter Monaghan and the resultant free from Heaven is good. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-3

25 mins – Little bit jittery from both teams. Naomh Colmcille have four wides and three balls have dropped short, while Belnaleck so far were wide four times and have under-cooked twice. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-3

29 mins – Free from Heaven from 20 metres and it’s a double-score lead for Belnaleck. Four in a row for the Fermanagh champions. Naomh Colmcille 0-2 Belnaleck 0-4

30 mins – There will be at least one additional minute at the end of the first half.

30+1 mins – Naomh Colmcille’s first score in 23 minutes. William Gillespie hung out on the left side and when his side moved the ball to him patiently, his shot was true. Naomh Colmcille 0-3 Belnaleck 0-4

Half-time – Naomh Colmcille 0-3 Belnaleck 0-4

We’re back underway …

31 mins – Daniel Clarke’s long range effort falls just short but it strikes the Belnaleck crossbar on the way down and there’s a sigh go relief. It was almost an identical situation that Ciaran Devine found himself in before the break when he also hit the woodwork. Naomh Colmcille 0-3 Belnaleck 0-4

33 mins – Point for Belnaleck from Ciaran McBrien, but it could’ve been worse for Naomh Colmcille as he blazed over after Conor McAuley broke through but fluffed his strike at goal. Naomh Colmcille 0-3 Belnaleck 0-5

38 mins – Willie Gillespie scores an inspirational point from 40 metres. He’s certainly the best avenue for Naomh Colmcille. Naomh Colmcille 0-4 Belnaleck 0-5

39 mins – Much better from Naomh Colmcille, who have got the upper hand at centre-field. Michael Lynch pops over from long range. Level. Naomh Colmcille 0-5 Belnaleck 0-5

40 mins – Tantalising! Matt Crossan’s shot from the left goes across goal goes in front of goalkeeper Eoin McGahey and Michael Lynch, who paused momentarily, was inches from a goal. Much livelier game now. Naomh Colmcille 0-5 Belnaleck 0-5

42 mins – Free from Daniel Clarke – not sure what for although it’s suggest an off the ball hit – and Naomh Colmcille – are back in front. Naomh Colmcille 0-6 Belnaleck 0-5

43 mins – Another free and another score. Willie Gillespie scores Naomh Colmcille’s fourth point in five minutes. It’s lashing here; the rain in falling in sheets but Ryan McKinley’s team are on fire. Naomh Colmcille 0-7 Belnaleck 0-5

43 mins – Michael Friel and Don Hegarty are on fro Naomh Colmcille, replacing Kevin Gallagher and Gerard Curran

43 mins – Point for Conor McAuley of Belnaleck, who swivels to find space and shoots over. Naomh Colmcille 0-7 Belnaleck 0-6

47 mins – GOAL for Naomh Colmcille. Ball was worked from Don Hegarty to Matthew Cross who finished in a flash. Great goal. Naomh Colmcille 1-7 Belnaleck 0-6

49 mins – Brilliant score from Daniel Clarke on the left. Michael Lynch had been fouled but referee Maggie Farrelly played advantage and Clarke’s effort was unreal. Naomh Colmcille 1-8 Belnaleck 0-6

55 mins – Superbly struck 45 from Michael Lynch is over and Naomh Colmcille are almost there. Naomh Colmcille 1-9 Belnaleck 0-6

60 mins – A dangerous ball from Daniel McGurn goes across the Naomh Colmcille square but John Roulstone, the Newtowncunningham side’s goalkeeper, gathers and takes it out. Naomh Colmcille 1-9 Belnaleck 0-6

60 mins – We’ll have five minutes injury time

60+3 mins – Conor McAuley of Belnaleck has a shot at goal but it fizzes wide. This is all but over. What a second half from Naomh Colmcille.

Naomh Colmcille 1-9 Belnaleck 0-6
