The 2018 Michael Murphy Sports Donegal Club Championships are taking place this afternoon in Letterkenny – we’ll have all the news here as it happens.

Donegal SFC

Group A

1. Ardara

2. Glenswilly

3. Bundoran

4. Termon

Group B

1. Naomh Conaill

2. Dungloe

3. St Eunan’s

4. Gaoth Dobhair

Group C

1. Burt

2. St Michael’s

3. Four Masters

4. Malin

Group D

1. Milford

2. Sean MacCumhaills

3. Killybegs

4. Kilcar

Round 1 – 1v 2, 3 v 4

Round 2 – 4 v 1, 2 v 3

Round 3 – 1 v 3, 2 v 4

Well, well, well…Kilcar will open their defence of Dr Maguire in Fintra, with an away clash at their near rivals Killybegs. Also in their group are Milford and Sean MacCumhaills. Group B sees Naomh Conaill, Dungloe, St Eunan’s and Gaoth Dobhair in a belter!

Now, for the big one…16 teams await their SFC fate for 2018…

DONEGAL SHC

Setanta will open their Donegal SHC campaign against old foes Burt.

1. Naomh Muire

2. Aodh Ruadh

3. Gaeil Fhánada

Tasty one in store in IFC as Gaeil Fhánada and Downings are paired in the same group. Ditto with St Naul’s and Naomh Ultan

Next up we’ll have the Intermediate Championship draw, which included 2017 JFC winners Naomh Colmcille. Also, Naomh Muire have dropped into the Intermediate grade and will be in here.

Beaten finalists Red Hughs in 2017 are in Group A with Carndonagh, Muff, Convoy and Robert Emmets

Here we go…

County Chairman Mick McGrath and CCC Chairman Frankie Doherty will conduct the draws.

The first draw we’ll have is for the Senior C Football Championship.

Almost ready to go. Eamonn McGinley and Aodhan McGinley are here from reigning Donegal SFC champions Kilcar, who won Dr Maguire for the first time in 23 years in 2017, beating Naomh Conaill in the final.
