Listen: ‘We’re a wee bit disappointed’ admits Donegal star Ryan McHugh

MAN OF THE Match Ryan McHugh admitted a pang of disappointment following today’s draw with Kerry at Croke Park.

McHugh, who had another majestic hour in the green and gold, was the star that shone brightest during the course of a classic encounter.

There was nothing between them at the end: 1-20 to 1-20.

“We’re a wee bit disappointed not to win it,” McHugh told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“I suppose Kerry will be saying the same. We didn’t lose. We came up the road for two points, but we don’t lose.

“We’ve put ourselves in a position for a huge mach against Mayo. Still, there is nothing on the table, no cups and no medals and we have a huge game in two weeks’ time.

McHugh is in the form of his life at the moment and, deep in the bowels of Croke Park, the Kilcar man added: “I love putting on the county jersey and indeed the club jersey.

“It’s great. I love football. Every single lad in that dressing room tales great pride and privilege in the jersey.”
