Val Murray hopes his Donegal Masters can go one step further than last year when they take on Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final tomorrow.
Donegal, once again under Murray’s guidance, take on the Dubs at Lacken in Cavan at 3.30pm. The Sligo-Tyrone semi-final precedes it at 1.30pm.
The Ballyshannon man saw the Donegal Masters reach a semi-final last year, when they lost out after extra time to Mayo.
Tomorrow, they face a Dublin side that includes the likes of former Tir Chonaill foes like Paddy Andrews, Ray Cosgrove and Ciaran Whelan.Â
“Dublin have been out of it for a couple of years, but they’re back in with a big bang,” Murray said.
“They’ve played six and won six. Our task is difficult.
“We came so close last year. We were beaten by Mayo after extra time in a semi-final. The lads want to go one step further.”
