Odhran Mac Niallais was almost pinching himself as Gaoth Dobhair defeated Crossmaglen to reach the Ulster Club SFC final.

Mac Niallais returned from injury to aid Gaoth Dobhair into a first Ulster senior final, at the expense of 11-times champions Cross.

Gaoth Dobhair, Donegal SFC winners for the first time in 12 years this term, are dreaming big having endured some nightmares along the way.

“If you told me this after the Glenties game two years ago, I’d have laughed at you,” Mac Niallais said.

“It was a dream, but it has come true now. It’s great. The lads showed their composure.

“Crossmaglen came back at us. They’re a top team, but we kept the composure and kept doing the right things.”

Now, Scotstown stand between the Magheragallon side and an Ulster title.

With a glint, Mac Niallais added: “Those young boys are beaming with confidence.”
