Listen: ‘No fear’ for Eamonn McConigley as Letterkenny Rovers seek a semi spot

Eamonn McConigley is an Intermediate Cup veteran by now and the Letterkenny Rovers manager certainly isn’t getting fazed by Sunday’s quarter-final against Home Farm.

The Whitehall outfit come to Leckview Park for a last eight joust against Rovers, who were finalists in the competition two years ago.

It is a much-changed Rovers side now, but McConigley – a two-time winner of the Intermediate Cup with Fanad United – is confident his men can get the job done.

“I’m expecting a very tough game,” McConigley said.

“I don’t expect them to be as good as the Cork side we beat, but any side that beat Cockhill has to be good. We will prepare as normal. We have good experienced players and we have a very fit side. We have a lot to look forward to.

“If we get our own side right, we won’t fear Home Farm. You don’t take anything for granted in the Intermediate Cup. You make sure you stay in the game for as long as you can. I expect us to do well against Home Farm.”
