Cloughaneely did enough on Saturday night at PCC Falcarragh to secure themselves a home fixture in the last eight of the Donegal IFC.

Michael Lynch’s team were 1-14 to 1-9 winners over Naomh Brid to set up a tie against Red Hugh’s in quarter-finals the weekend after next. Cloughaneely have been involved in a number of titanic battles over the last couple of seasons and after Paul Sweeney netted on Saturday, conceded a penalty that Callum Gallagher netted.

However, Cloughaneely saw it out well and afterwards, Lynch spoke to Charlie Collins.
