Listen: John L Coyle on Moville’s Premier Division return

John L Coyle says Moville Celtic have already laid good foundations for their return to the Premier Division.

Moville clinched the Strand Hotel Division One title yesterday thanks to a 4-0 away win at Gleneely Colts, with Michael McNaught bagging a hat-trick for the champions.

Moville missed out on a Premier return last season after a narrow 1-0 play-off defeat by Illies – but now they’re back.

“There is a massive step up, but we have laid a good foundation with the attitude and commitment,” Coyle told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“If we can build now and get players who want to be part of it. We’ll embrace the challenge.”

Moville are also vying for honours in the Charlie O’Donnell Cup and the Fr O’Gara Cup and Coyle hailed his squad.

He said: “This just didn’t start this morning at nine o’clock. It’s back since July. The boys have worked extremely well and have worked hard all year. It’s a big commitment and it’s a credit to get to this stage. Anything they have been asked to do they have embraced it.”
