Jimmy Hegarty predicted it would be close – but unfortunately for the Moville manager his side were on the wrong end of yesterday’s Donegal senior ladies final.

Katy Herron’s late goal gave Glenfin the title after a 4-7 to 3-7 win.

“It was a close game. We knew it would be close and I said there’d only be a bounce of a ball between the teams,” Hegarty said.

“They have a wee bit more experience than we have. Glenfin were probably the more physically stronger team.’
